Who we are
It all started like a typical story of a soccer star. Year - 1989. Venue - Pune, the Silicon Valley of India. From a modest background, a young Electronics Engineer, with his equally qualified wife, started a venture - Mechatronics Test Equipment(I) Pvt. Ltd. (MTE), with a pocketful of dreams to succeed,
least realizing that a humble start would lead to an enormous amount of
success, steadily, year after year.

With extensive experience in bringing a variety of complex software and hardware systems to market, the Mechatronics Test Equipment's team is committed to developing and delivering the highest quality solutions in prototyping, video and image processing and communication domains.

Rakesh Mehta - Founder Director
Rakesh Mehta is the founding Director of Mechatronics Test Equipment(I) Pvt. Ltd. and leads the research and design initiatives at Mechatronics Test Equipment's. His research interests include "Reconfigurable Computing", "High Speed Design" developing hardware solutions for "High Performance Computing" and "Radio Astronomy".
He has over 28+ years of experience in design and market development.
Mr. Mehta has done his Masters from IIT-Madras and was a research scholar at IIT Bombay.
He has served in various capacities on the "Board of Studies" of various universities in Maharashtra in including university of Pune. He has lead many initiatives to make FPGA technology popular in India.
His other interests include teaching and he has offered training to various organisation in India and abroad on "VLSI Design" and "Signal Integrity".
He is an avid environmentalist and has a fascination for planting trees and recycling waste.

Pournima Mehta - Director Finance
Pournima Mehta is the Director-Finance at Mechatronics Test Equipment(I) Pvt. Ltd.. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics from University of Pune. She in her initial days, lead the development of the company's marketing and product strategies. She has been directly involved in fund raising, company strategy and branding.
Her other interests include social work and she leads various initiatives in uplift of the economic poor section of the society.

Chandrashekar Athavale
is the CTO of Mechatronics Test Equipment(I) Pvt. Ltd.. He is involved in Business development and HR functions. He brings with him a rich experience of 44 years. He is an expert at "Supply Chain Management", Product Management and "Setting Marketing Strategies" , Mr Athavale joined Mechatronics Test Equipment(I) Pvt. Ltd. from Deepak Fertilizers where he served as an General Manager (Sales IC). Mr. Athavale started his career in Bajaj Electricals in May 1967 and since then he has worked in a MNC like SKF Bearings for 10 years Two stints in Bajaj Auto Limited one in spare parts and one in stores before he moved to Deepak Fertilizers.
Mr. Athavale has completed 2 years full time PGP in Marketing & HR from "Indian Institute of Management - Ahmedabad".

Shashank Vaidya
Shashank Vaidya is the "Principal Consultant" at Mechatronics Test Equipment(I) Pvt. Ltd., and a member of its core team. He is the Director at "Holistic Performance Improvement Consultants". Prior to this he has served as "Chief Technical Officer" at HIRCO, V.P.Engineering at "Hindustan Construction Company", G.M.Training at "Hindustan Construction Company".
He has his Masters degree from the "Indian Institute of Technology, Madras" ( he was a gold medalist) and his Bachelors degree from "Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology".

He is an avid researcher in the field of Microelectronics.
He received his PhD in microelectronics from "Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay".
